A note with love about our classes:
Candlelight Yin: Yin yoga is a practice where we hold stretches 3-5 minutes to deeply nourish and stretch muscles and connective tissues (joints, ligaments, fascia) while helping balance our emotions, still our minds, release tension and calm the nervous system. Seasoned athletes and new yogis alike will create a wider range of motion in their bodies, reduce their risk of injury and experience an increase in overall energy. Yin can help us increase mobility, decrease injury and leave us feeling more balanced. Set in the peace and warmth of candlelight with the most phenomenal music playlists.
Candlelight Slow Yin: A powerful blend of 35 minutes of slow flow to build muscular strength and tone followed by 25 minutes of yin to increase flexibility, openness and reduce stuck energy and tightness in the body. This class is the perfect way to burn negative energy from the day and release into the calm of the evening.
Slow Flow: Slow flow focus on lengthening, strengthening, building and engaging, and is designed for all levels. Moving slowly and skillfully requires a focused mind, connection to the breath and a willingness to give everything you have. This class will inspire you to sweat, stretch and be your best through thoughtful messaging, intentional alignment and carefully designed flows.
HOT Slow Flow: Get Your Sweat On. Guided flowing postures are held for longer to help you build more strength and flexibility with time for detailed alignment. Slow is the New Strong, this is a great class for all levels! The Room is heated 90 – 95 degrees. Our HOT classes are heated with FAR infrared heat which heats the body rather than the air. Coupled with yoga it makes the body feel hot, producing a detoxifying sweat at a more tolerable intensity than other hot yoga classes. Multiple potential benefits may include increased flexibility + circulation, weight loss, pain relief, detoxification, increased cellular functioning and muscular health! Come well hydrated.
Fusion: Fusion starts through connecting breath and movement by taking the body through sun salutations and various standing postures that seamlessly flow together vinyasa style. The last 25 minutes of postures are held 5-8 breaths each to go deeper and feel the burn of building strength and flexibility. Set to music and gently heated, this class is great to begin the exploration of vinyasa, play with occasional arm balances alternatives and to build tone and strength.
VinYin: 45 minutes of a hot and steamy Vinyasa practice to build warmth, mobilize joints and get energy flowing followed by 30 minutes of Yin to stretch the connective tissues and release the hips, hamstrings, shoulders and back. A perfect combination of strengthening and lengthening, this will leave you feeling your strongest in body and softest in heart. See vinyasa and yin descriptions for more info.
Vinyasa: Vinyasa is a dynamic series of poses flowing seamlessly together linking breath and movement. Classes start with Sun Salutations and grow to build heat, endurance, flexibility, strength and concentration while helping practitioners connect to the power of breath. The room is heated to 82 and physically demanding flows are guided by teachers twice and then students may be asked to do each flow on their own. Classes focus on proper alignment techniques, safe and intelligent sequencing progressions and are practiced to music (we swear our teachers make the BEST playlists). We practice in a non-competitive environment and encourage all levels of students to try this with a playful spirit and open mind.
HOT Vinyasa: Powerful, Dynamic + Sweaty. A strong, thoughtfully sequenced vinyasa class to help students move deeper and more skillfully into more advanced postures. We will go deeper into poses and work towards float backs, inversions, binds and arm balances. HOT Vinyasa incorporates manual adjustments, detailed alignment, strong pranamya and some mindful meditation. The Room is heated 90 – 95 degrees.
