Return to Detroit Yogi Stories
When a friend first brought me to Detroit Yoga Lab, I was in a bad place physically (recovering from my second major knee surgery) and mentally (recovering from my first year of teaching and a string of relationship issues). Yoga became the only time I can stop thinking about everything else and focus on pushing myself physically and loving myself regardless of where my limits are that day. From the oh-my-gosh-I’m-dying feeling to actually falling asleep during savasana, yoga has strengthened both my mind and my body and will continue to do so for years to come. I’m Debra, and I’m a Detroit Yogi! To all of the the amazing Detroit Yoga Lab staff, thank you! Your never-ending smiles and encouragements helped make Detroit home.
