SAT. MARCH 25th 11:30am – 2pm: YOUR SHOULDERS IN INVERSIONS Unpacking Handstand, Forearm Balance, Headstand and Shoulderstand
You’ll move plenty, but this workshop focuses on honing your technique in these seminal inversions. To be skillful, safe and accurate in these postures, you need to get your hands, upper-arms, and scapula to work together seamlessly. This workshop will teach you everything you need to know about fine-tuning your upper body in these postures so that all of your hard work doesn’t go to waste.

SAT. MARCH 25th 3-5:30pm: ACTIVE RECOVERY AND MINDFULNESS FOR WELLBEING
As a teacher, I’ve focused on teaching strong, modern vinyasa classes for the past 20+ years. But, as a practitioner, I also like the lighter, softer side of the yoga spectrum. This workshop incorporates several elements of the yoga landscape that I’m not as well known for, including seated meditation, Yoga Nidra, light flows, and simple restoratives. In this workshop, you will:

  • Experience Jason’s approach to active recovery and mindfulness techniques.
  • Practice a total of 30-minutes (in 2, separate rounds) of seated meditation.
  • Experience a guided Yoga Nidra practice that will ground and soothe your body and mind.
  • Practice light vinyasa flows in order to mobilize the body without depleting it.
  • Learn basic, impactful restorative practices with minimal props.

    SAT. MARCH 25th 6:30 – 7:30pm YOGALAND LIVE w/ Andrea Ferretti + Jason Crandell

100% of the proceeds from this event will be donated to The Children’s Center, Detroit Yoga Lab’s non-profit 2023 non-profit partner. The Children’s Center, located in Midtown Detroit, is home to many specialized clinical services. They lead the way in working with children who struggle with behavioral, emotional, educational, intellectual and developmental challenges or may have experienced trauma, and they’re located right around the corner from the studio.
