The practice of journaling offers pathways to journey through our own thoughts, emotions, energy and experiences. It helps us connect more deeply with ourselves and to explore our own inner landscape. Journaling also gives us a chance to build community and discover ways that we are intricately and beautifully connected to one another. In this workshop series, we will use breath, meditation, journaling and conversation to inspire + ignite these connections and cultivate a ritual that lives and breathes beyond our time together.

Trust: Live from Your Wisdom Within -

Need a little encouragement to (re)kindle your connection within? To recall + stimulate the magnificence that radiates from inside your confident being? The word ‘confidence' comes from the roots con which means ``with`` and fidence which mean ``trust`` or ``faith.`` In essence, confidence means with trust. Join Naomi + Sitara for this weeklong, virtual series. We'll dive into our inner spaciousness and use our yoga practice like an elixir to dust away the cobwebs + blocks that tell us we are anything less than brilliant and to remind ourselves what it feels like to move from internal trust. To reconnect with our innate wisdom and remember that when we move from that space within, the world around us becomes illuminated and allows us to see clearly our path forward. We don’t apply yoga to our life but rather our yoga reminds us how inextricably connected we all are. What you can expect: powerfully rooted asana, pranayama + journal prompts. Our hope is that by pouring loving attention and awareness into our practice, we feel and begin to trust the infinite potential of life.

All levels welcome for this HIIT party, we'll warm up with yoga, move hard with 30 minutes of HIIT and briefly unwind in savasana.

YOGA + MYOFASCIAL RELEASE FOR LOW BACK PAIN

w/ Naomi | October 24 10am -12 | $45 (includes myofascial balls)

Do you suffer from low back aches + pains? Learn about your fascial web and the functional anatomy of your low back and relative hips, and start feeling good again! The myofascial release techniques you will learn can be a very helpful adjunct to a yoga practice to help with range of motion, injuries, scar tissue, tension, muscle recovery (for athletes) or muscle function. $45 includes 2 yoga tune up balls. This workshop is livestream! $45 includes 2 yoga therapy balls (select $35 option if you don't need balls). This workshop is not for people in acute pain (meaning you’ve just had a major episode or are in a place where you can’t do every day things like tie your shoes). Must be able to get up and down from the floor and move mindfully. Pick up for Myofascial balls: will be available at our midtown location on Thursday October 22nd between 4 and 6:30pm.

Winter Solstice Yoga Nidra

Winter is a time when the earth seems to be quiet and still as the trees have lost their leaves, the grass is no longer growing and the brilliant colors of fall have faded. However, the vibrancy of life persists within the earth, it is simply pausing for a time of restoration and quiet repose. Like the earth, our minds and bodies need time for stillness. Yoga Nidra uses guided relaxation cues to help us pause, just as the earth does, to enjoy the stunning power of the present moment and refresh the body, mind and senses.

During this practice, you will be guided to completely relax physically and to mindfully shepherd the sometimes scattered thoughts of your mind in order to enjoy a state of alert awareness in which the body is completely at rest yet your mind is alert and aware. The practice will begin with simple stretches, movement and breathing. Then, I will guide you through Yoga Nidra which is done lying in Savasana. At the end of Yoga Nidra, participants have reported a restored sense of resiliency + ease and a renewed feeling of peace + calm.

No yoga experience is required and all you’ll need is your mat, your comfiest yoga attire as well as blankets, pillows and cozy socks to make yourself as comfortable as possible. Looking forward to sharing this practice with you.
