Winter Solstice: Yoga Nidra

Winter is a time when the earth seems to be quiet and still as the trees have lost their leaves, the grass has stopped growing and the flowers are no longer in bloom. However the vibrancy of life persists within the earth, it is simply pausing for a time of restoration and quiet repose. Yoga Nidra is an ancient practice that uses guided relaxation cues to help us pause, just as the earth does, to enjoy the beauty of the present moment and restore the body, mind and senses.

ON BEING HUMAN

Every choice we make leads us to specific perceptions, thoughts and energy. What better way to shift our perspective than by working with inversions? Let us drop the dialogue of “I can’t” to “I will try”. This workshop will be playful, fun and technical, giving you the tools and building blocks towards working inversions or deepening your inversion practice. We will cover handstand, forearm stand and headstand. We will playfully work with one another through partner drills, explore how the postures we are already familiar with lend to inversions and much more!
