ODYSSEYS

Every Monday | 8:15 PM - 9:00 PM

An Odyssey is an intellectual or spiritual quest that one may journey through on their own or in community with others. When we thought about this class and what to name it, Odysseys described it heart and soul. Each week, we will explore breath work, meditation, tiny bursts of creativity, journaling + fellowship. There will be space to be with your own experience, as well as to share with others, in a safe + supportive community. Each week is a new experience, so feel free to drop in any time. Recently a student shared, “ This class is a beautiful way to connect to yourself and with others in all the complexities of being human.” No journaling or yoga experience is required so brew yourself a cup of tea, grab your mat, a few cushions and something to write with and on. I look forward to sharing Odysseys with you.

What if you could live in your body in a different way? What if you could feel energized and at ease? This past year has been a lot. We have had to adapt and be resilient for so long, on so many levels. It's not surprising that many of us feel exhausted, overwhelmed and stressed. Throughout this class we will explore a gentle yoga flow and restorative postures to renew and restore our energy, find balance and rekindle ease within.

Props needed (but not required):
2 blocks
2 blankets or beach towels
1 bolster or pillow

Yoga Nidra to Release + Renew

Yoga Nidra is a sacred yoga practice that uses guided relaxation and meditation cues to help you access the present moment while easing the stressors that reside in the body, mind and senses. Using verbal cues and breath, you will be invited to soften the muscles of your body and to press pause on the chatter of your mind in order to release trapped tensions and renew the inner landscape of your being. At the end of a Yoga Nidra practice, participants have reported feeling a sense of lightness, peace and calm and significantly reduced levels of stress. Not to mention the splendid impact Yoga Nidra can have on the quality of your sleep.

This workshop will begin with simple stretches, movement and breathing before we ease into Yoga Nidra which will be experienced resting in Savasana. No worries, all parts of this practice will be guided and no yoga experience is required. Dress as relaxed as you wish in your most comfy yoga attire, maybe with a fuzzy pair of socks and hoodie. If practicing in the studio, bring all your own blankets and pillows so you can make yourself as comfy + cozy as possible.

New Moon Ritual Flow

Set yourself up to receive the New Moon’s offering of a new cycle with intention and commitment. In this workshop we will explore how we can shift our energies to align so we can ground and center ourselves in the Moon’s pull. Every New Moon offers us a moment to vibrate on a higher frequency and open ourselves to growth, expansiveness and abundance. Through dedication, asana, breath and reflection we will bask in the sweetness of the new moon and engage in a deeper connection with the energies around us to begin to move beyond our pre-conditioned or inherited programming so we too can radiate fully.
