ODYSSEYS: : Breath, Meditation + Journaling

Second Sundays Virtual | 5:30 - 6:30pm

An Odyssey is an intellectual or spiritual quest that one may journey through on their own or in community with others. When we thought about this class and what to name it, Odysseys described it heart and soul. Each week, we will explore breath work, meditation, tiny bursts of creativity, journaling + fellowship. There will be space to be with your own experience, as well as to share with others, in a safe + supportive community. Each week is a new experience, so feel free to drop in any time. Recently a student shared, “ This class is a beautiful way to connect to yourself and with others in all the complexities of being human.” No journaling or yoga experience is required so brew yourself a cup of tea, grab your mat, a few cushions and something to write with and on.

YOGA for RECOVERY

Fourth Sundays In-Studio, 5:30 - 6:30pm, Pay What You Can

During this monthly class we will focus on addiction relapse prevention. Exploring the correlation between yoga, philosophy, and recovery from addiction we will combine the framework of the 12 steps with the physical experience of yoga, and learn how future suffering can be avoided. Our time will be divided into two sections, the first an opportunity to access basic yoga poses and then an opportunity to share our experience, strength, and hope to gain clarity and move beyond the problem and into a solution with limitless potential. No need for prior yoga or 12 step experience. Your yoga will meet you where you are.

Relax + Restore

Relax + Restore is the perfect antidote for a busy life of multi-tasking and achieving. Learn how to consciously relax your body and mind through restorative postures propped with blankets, bolsters, and blocks to promote a sense of ease and comfort so your muscles can deeply relax and you can consciously let go. Your mind will become calmer, more present, and less reactive and your body will release tension and stress.

Whether you are a teacher, parent, doctor, nurse, therapist, child of a sick parent, massage therapist, caregiver of an ailing partner, etc., this Yoga Nidra is for you.

Caregiving is one of the most remarkable acts of service and provides precious opportunities to connect with others and cultivate experiences that last a lifetime. But caring for others can leave you feeling drained--emotionally, mentally, physically, energetically--and struggling to take care of yourself. So, in this season of giving thanks, we will come together to honor what we do as caregivers and dedicate time to self-care and self-love so that we may offer ourselves the chance to release, recharge and experience inner gratitude.

AYURVEDIC LIVING: THE AYURVEDIC CLOCK

Understand timing as it relates to a 24 hour day, Seasons in a year and how this also applies to the stages in our life cycle. This workshop will help you understand and implement Ayurvedic Practice related to season and balancing gunas. Ayurveda is the Vedic science of healing the body and the mind. Join us for this five week course to dive into and begin to understand your innate power to heal and balance your whole being. Explore + learn basic methods of healing including herbs and diet, exercise, mindfulness and how simple lifestyle adjustments can have a big impact on how you think and feel, ultimately allowing you to move more intelligently and balanced through life. We recommend diving in for the whole course, however, each one of these sessions is stand alone and will help you find more harmony on your life path. Between monthly sessions you will be given accessible and inspiring ``assignments`` (think journaling, self-assessment questionnaires, mindfulness, home practices, etc.) to reinforce and gain practical experience with what you learned.
